My sincere apologies if you have had problems visiting BelleWood Gardens late in January and early this month.
There were difficulties with my previous hosting company. Their servers went down not merely for an hour or so
but for day after day after day. A week later I managed to cancel my account and sign with a another website host.
Which involved uploading the last nine years of entries and images, more than 4,000 files. All is now well, e-mail
receives messages, and I can again invite you to come and make virtual visits to BelleWood Gardens. Welcome!

37 Days Until Spring

This was at 11:00 a.m. and the snow was 4 inches deep.
Five hours later the snow was nearly 3 times as deep.
And it's still coming down enthusiastically. Perhaps
Paul's snow gauge should have been taller than it is.

Potted Bulbs

Any flowers in the garden? A few snowdrops buried under snow.
And n'oreaster on the way, with more. We're sufficiently north enough
that it should be another foot of snow, or less. Sufficient remains from
the previous storm that this pot of Narcissus 'Little Gem' glows brightly
against the snow. Good reason to pot up some bulbs each fall, that -
flowering now - help restless gardeners cope with winter's last days.
