The Iris Garden at Delaware Valley College

After the morning tour of the gardens at the landscape arboretum of Temple University Ambler we had a pleasant lunch at Trax Cafe, in Ambler. Our day, however, is not yet over. Some of the carpools of enthusiastic Tohickon Garden Club members made a brief stop at Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, Pennsylvania to visit the iris garden. (Those of you who make virtual visits BelleWood Gardens might recall that in 2008 we took a trip here. You can take another look here.) I confess that after a morning of fairly steady walking, and a pleasant lunch, I was ready to admire iris but not research them. Accordingly, here are some nice images of bearded iris, the rainbow flower, for your enjoyment.

And a Siberian irisas laigniappe.

So, no wonder that those of us who never said "Enough!" enjoyed this last, brief portion of the garden club's outing.
